The United States and China have reached an agreement on Phase 1 of their trade deal.

The tariff sanctions for goods covered by List 4B which were scheduled to go into effect on December 15th have been suspended indefinitely and U.S. Customs has already confirmed this information.   The additional duty for goods in List 4A should be reduced from 15% currently to 7.5% at a date to be determined most likely in January.   Lists # 1, 2 and 3 will remain subject to 25% additional duties.   The agreement is expected to be signed by both countries in January.
